Up today we have a truly spectacular art deco wedding, captured by photographer Katherine Ann Rose in Los Angeles, California.
The details are gorgeous, with all the glamour of a perfectly styled shoot, infused with a true sense of personality and joy throughout. And! The art deco venue is one of our all-time favorites- the incredible Oviatt Building, in downtown LA.
From the bride:
Jeff and I both grew up in Los Angeles with a love for the rich Art Deco history found all over the city. Once he proposed on the first floor of the Oviatt, the entire building took on a deep emotional significance to us. Soon after, I knew I wanted to be married on the rooftop with an open air ceremony and reception.
We kept the color palette classic: black, white, gold, and emerald with elegant calla lilies and palm leaves.
The dress code for guests was black tie, which was a big hit- everyone loved stepping back in time with us for the evening!

One of the best weddings I’ve ever been to was a winter wedding in New York City, …

With an elegant black and gold color scheme, this shoot has some very cool edgy elements (deconstructed wallpaper wall, jet black candles) …

That handsome couple! Add together the great 1920s style details, the gorgeous church and beautiful venue (Conservatory of Flowers in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park) …
