Hello Deco Lovers! A few words about sponsorships and advertising on Deco Weddings…

The sponsors on the sidebar speak for themselves: they are sponsors. You’ve been on the internet, you know how that works. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, for example. Some of our sponsors pay for banner advertising because they think you might like their designs, some of them are affiliate programs where we think you might like their designs (and we get a small commission if you click through and purchase something…) but you never have to click. We appreciate it so much when you do, of course, even just to browse, since it helps support the site. But the ads are on the sidebar ultimately have no bearing on the content of the site or posts.

We also sometimes include affiliate links in certain posts (right now, about 1/3 of the total posts on the site), which means if you click through and purchase an item we’ve featured, we get a small (usually between 3-7%) commission. Thank you! You’re helping keep the lights on around here, and we appreciate it.

We’ve just begun introducing “Sponsored Posts” from approved and beloved vendors, so we wanted to take a moment to explain that. Those posts are marked as “Sponsor Roundup” or “Sponsored Post”, and are offered to hand-selected vendors, designers and brands. By definition then they aren’t 100% “editorial”  of course, but they are still coming from an editorial place: we pick our own sponsors, turning away vendors that aren’t a good fit for you or us, and  always write the copy ourselves. There will be no cutting and pasting of PR blather, and the individual items to feature are typically painstakingly selected by us, purely because we love ’em.

And thusly goes our disclosure. If you’ve got more questions, feel free to contact us and we’ll do our best to answer!
